Kneeling It’s probably the single most used image for submission and with good reason. When you kneel in front of someone you make yourself vulnerable you are making yourself not only small but unable to move quickly, it’s a perfect position for a Dominant to feel powerful and in control. So why do I want to kneel? Simply put He has earned the right to be in control, he has earned the right to my reverence, by his words and deeds. By his teaching and caring. But beyond that I kneel to remind us both of our places, I kneel to bring us back to our dynamic. I also kneel when I step of line, or when I need to be calmed or calm My Master. What I get of the act of kneeling is a sense of calm a centering of my mind, a release from my worries and stresses, a chance to stop and breathe.
