Life Life is about you. You entered this body alone and you will leave this body alone. Life isn't about relationships, they come and go. Life is about your soul and its progress. Honor yourself. Spend time with yourself. Nurture yourself. Respect yourself. Date yourself. Get to know yourself. Love all parts of yourself. And become whole. . . "I was told I was dangerous… I asked why they said: “because you don’t need anyone.” That’s when I smiled "Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.” |

So true....only started living when I learned to accept who I am and love who I am!

I agree with that: sorta, kinda, and mostly. See my problem is that while theres not a single thing there I disagree with, I think theres more. I think that life as survival - food/ drink/shelter - isn't about relationships.... I think you can go from cradle to grave without a relationship quite finely. Except how did you get in the cradle, and who will stand by your grave? So I think that life actually is about relationships... friends, family, significant others... we are a social animal and the how, when and with whom of our relationships defines our lives. For myself I don't need to be in a relationship (and I'm talking primary partner obviously)... I'm not now and I'm doing ok, I have been single for extended periods in the past and did just fine, and being as I'm looking for someone specific and not really prepared to settle I could well be single a long dammed time. And yet I once wrote random musings of the lunch break variety -bloody alt, the link wont work search for post 944590 ( and theres another link in the comments on that post to yet another post that I like more) because I know that while I do not need to be in a relationship.... I am a better version of me when I am.

Excellent analysis of how one should approach and live their life, you’re no good to anyone else if you’re not good to your self

Couldn't agree more with you. Self-reliance is the most important lesson a person can learn. In the end, no one will take care of you better than yourself.

interesting about being alone... yet the universal mantra is togetherness... it's not easy swimming against the tide... but it's real,,,, hunter and prey.... you'er two for two.... taking the UN-PC position... isn't it amazing how so many get it so wrong... congrats on clarity of vision... and the willingness to call it as it is....
