That’s my good girl When he calls me a good girl, I melt. When he calls me a good girl, I feel safe and protected and cherished and heard. When he calls me a good girl, I know that I’ve done well. That I’ve pleased him and made him proud. Which is one of my greatest joys in life. When he calls me a good girl, I want to curl up in his arms and have him hold me forever. But I don’t need to because his words are a warm embrace all their own. When he calls me a good girl, I want to try and work even harder to please him. When he calls me a good girl, I feel squishy inside. When he calls me a good girl, I feel like I’ve been given a gift. You love being called pretty but you don't believe it . . You doubt when you're right but believe when you're wrong . . You smile easily but it's seldom real . . You're as open as a book but keep much hidden . . You love being called good girl but think you could do better . . The wholeness becomes empty too quickly.
