Bdsm and the relationships therein are in general a safe haven oasis. The concept that participants can instantly connect with a mutual understanding of their goals, desires and roles, without question, challenge or judgment. So different from dating in the vanilla world where one must first test the waters and carefully navigate the others intentions is so exhausting and time consuming. When I am with my sub, I am at peace, confident in the mutual exchange in which we seek with respect and gratitude of the other.
