If memory services, I recall first hearing that Leonard Cohen song on the soundtrack from the movie "Exotica" by that Canadian director Atom Egoyan, If you're a Leonard Cohen fan, you might like the version of "Tower of Song" recorded by Tom Jones; you can find both studio and live recordings on YT. Not only is it a song for an Older Man, it demonstrates how Tom Jones compensates for the changes in his own voice by using enunciation and phrasing to deliver a song.
