The Joining

She didn’t see him, standing there in the mist of her mind
He watched, as the mist lifted from her mind
She didn’t see him, sitting there as the sunrise peeked over the horizon
He watched, as her beauty transcended that of the sunrise
She didn’t see him, laying there as the stars crossed the sky
He watched, as she crossed heaven and earth to take his hand
She sees only him, He watches only her, they become one
They are joined, in their minds
One in thought
They are joined, standing for the start of a new beginning
One in spirit
They are joined, as they lay intertwined under a blanket of eternal starlight
One in body
