I had a thought just a few days ago. Political Parties are obsolete. I am glad Trump is gone. But frankly, I have never been totally enthralled with nearly any politician. I have supported or opposed candidates from both of the Parties. And, independent too. The big problem, more so than ever is the big money interests and a few special interest groups that have more sway than actual overall public opinion. I wish we had a way to get National Referendum on certain issues, mostly social ones that interest groups seem to have too much sway on the politicians for the sake of contributions or whatever. I would much rather see posts from you about how you and the family are doing. Your escapades  "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

The former guy was a disaster IMO The new guy at least has a moral compass of sorts. And the population is paying attention . If history tells anything it is that the social programs are usually from the left. Or left center. The wealth gap is strangling millions of hard working people. Tax breaks for the wealthy come from the right. I’m hoping for a kinder nation. One that is for all the people.

Two party system and no alternative! Right against left! You accuse each other! I think you should create alternatives! I look at it all from a distance and find this whining pathetic! How can it be that you accuse each other, where is the common sense and logic? Trump is a blender and you liar don't you see that? America is losing threats and prestige but you can no longer send your filth into the world! I think that you will soon fight against each other if you continue like this .... And you know what? If you want to fight each other I don't mind but stay where you are and don't lead your conflict out into the whole world !!! I find that strange, there are proven and excellent media in the USA but you believe in conspirators, witches, Heretics, fortune tellers, amateurs and would-be prophets ...... The earth continues to rotate in the universe ..... Your power is dwindling and now it is time to look for new possibilities! Texas in the snow, and how! Spain in the snow and how! There are job worries all over the world! Refugees too, look at Europe! So please, you are not alone! That is evolution and change ..... It was the years 60 ... 70 ... 80 ... and so on and everything has changed and now it's time for change again! For me, Trump is the most dubious person outside the USA! Liars, cheaters, slippers, blenders ..... etc., but he can influence and lie to a large part of the USA, Hitler could do that too ... I mean, and that is my personal opinion, you should stop accusing each other, you once called yourselves pioneers and you still want to be ... Oh ... there is so much left to say ... that is only part of my thoughts and one thing Outsider .... I just wanted to say that this duel can't be healthy ....

Did I like Trump as a person, that doesn't matter. Did I like what Trump was doing for the country and it's people, yes. Do I like Biden as a person, that doesn't matter. Do I like what he is doing to this country and it's people, not just no, but hell no. We don't know how many jobs Biden has actually cost the people of this country with his EO's so far. We can all ready see the fuel prices going up drastically though, but that is ok, he's not sending out any mean, offensive tweets. Did Trump get us into any military conflicts, no. Biden is trying really hard to do that right now. Have you asked yourself why the elected officials in DC feel they are so important that they need a wall and guards, but the people of this country aren't important enough to need either? Where is that $2000 bucks that Biden promised in Georgia, oh wait, he lied, he was counting $600 that Trump and Congress all ready allowed. Why are there so many special interest items in the stimulus packages, so the politicians can get their donations and kick backs? I've asked several on here and many in the real world to list what they are proud of Biden for doing good for this country and it's people, and they can't. I will gladly and open debate someone on believes, but they just hated Trump, now we all are paying for that hate and it's only just begun.

I never talk politics here but, I had to reply to your post. I feel like you nailed it. I'm not a fan of anyone in politics at the moment. The only person I can say has been consistently for the people is Sanders, and, I could be completely off my rocker with that comment as well. I have children and I shudder to think what this nation/world will become when global warming and the temperature of the government gets so hot nothing will cool it down. Thank you for sharing. Your cynicism isn't new. I think that college education has done you a world of good, insofar as it's helped you to see that nothing's black and white. What it hasn't taught you yet is that if you're looking for utopia, you're looking in the wrong place. There's no such thing on this planet. Like it or not, you're never gonna get the perfect candidate. We're imperfect. Mankind is imperfect. Fortunately, the guys who drew up our master plan knew that too. They knew we'd always be striving for a more-perfect union, and there'd always be folks who wouldn't be trustworthy trying to hoodwink us. All we can do is try to figure out which one, or which crowd, has the biggest record for lying their ass off, and go with the other one. How do you do that? Easy, you look 'em in the eye and you check their history. If they're shifty-eyed and have a record of lying and cheating... if they welch on their deals... if they change their tune when circumstances haven't changed, your'e dealing with a crook. On the other hand, if they change their mind when the situation changes, you're actually dealing with somebody honest, no matter what they may have promised in the past. It's not easy being a grown up. Unfortunately a lot of people who think they're grown ups haven't figured that out yet. They just want what they want, and they want it now. Usually those are the folks it's easiest to fool.
