Can bondage be excessive

Do you think there is a point when being put in bondage that it becomes excessive. I guess something like mummification comes to mind. Personally I don’t think you can get to that excessive point, but that’s just me.

 I love bondage and have enjoyed tying women since my teens, but I'm more of a minimalist with bondage. Sure a few extra wraps around the wrists and ankles to spread out the pressure and bite. But too much rope takes away from the beauty of a bound woman, IMO.
