Dragons tongue, Pt Xlll a romance novel.

They cleaned out the seal and pried the lid loose and took the lid out and sat it on the sand. Bree started to clear away the small amount of sediment that had collected on top of something and soon revealed it to be a large round object with a kind of picture on it which she cleared off to view it properly. Shona looked suddenly distressed when she saw what it was. Shona clutched hold of Bree's arm and said. "That looks like what I saw in my dream last night." "I remember it clearly now, I felt I was spiraling back through time to a far distant land in the desert, and I saw a figure wearing a black vale and kneeling and distraught about something, and when I went around her to view her face I saw it was me!" "That sounds kind of freaky." Bree replied. "Are you sure you're alright?" then continued "You know this looks like the figure of what the Chinese call Yin and Yang. It's basically the concept of how opposing forces intertwine. One dark and one light." Bree then reached in and took it out and turned it over to reveal a script of Chinese characters." " This does look interesting." she said as she brushed the surface to get a better look at it." " Let me just take a picture of it before we go any further." As she did so Shona looked at the writing careful not to touch it. "Look, the writing is divided in the middle by a line, why do you think they did that?" She inquired. "Beats me." Bree replied as she began to continued to excavated the remaining sediment to reveal that around the object in the middle was a mass of coins about two inches thick. " No wonder the metal detector showed such a strong signal." She said loosened one with her fingertips to take it out to study it. " This definitely looks Chinese." " They made them like this with the square holes in them." Then Bree focused her attention on the object in the middle, removing its lid. Shona gasped at what she saw, gold and precious stones glinted to their astonishment. Bree was dumbstruck by the realization of the riches they had found. "Wow!" Bree exclaimed "Now we're talkin!"

Well, I was kinda impressed by a book I read from the 60's. It was made into a movie. Last Summer by Evan Hunter. I haven't quite got the knack of Evan's use of humour and laconic approach, but I will keep trying. I have included the Internet in my story. I'm more happy writing in the style of that 60's to 70's era. I'm not really comfortable with the modern World in many ways. The Internet is really cool though. So easy to research things. I also like the distant future. Imagining how it could twist into a meld of technical marvels set in a natural landscape, (Time machine by H.G. wells, ish) as I believe will happen when humans experience a kind of Renaisance like awakening and will work as one to create and inspire each other. Sometimes all it takes is to plant a seed in peoples minds.I see people have huge untapped potential. They can achieve great things when properly motivated. The great people of the future will be great motivators!

Imagine my surprise when I found out that my opinion actually mattered!
