Your council tax is probably providing sidewalks, curbing, parks, roads, water supply and sewerage systems, etc.. People who DON'T pay their taxes are the parasites, and most of those are the wealthy. Your post sounds like you may have a bone to pick with your council, but that doesn't mean government is a parasite. If you haven't got your shit together by age 75, I fail to see how you can take care of a sub. Sort yourself out and enjoy what time you have left, because nobody is going to do it for you.
