So wtf is chaz or chez or chop

Can you imagine the federal response if some backwoods people ...ill pick on Missouri cause im from kc...

Say what if independence mo ( the fabled meth capitol of the world)... declaired itself police free, rules no longer applied and it is its own country.

Imagine if that community errected walls and threathened the police with violence if they entered.
Imagine if some wanna be rappers declaired himself a warlord and self policed this area

I doubt anyone would be calling it a carnival atmosphere..i doubt it would be labeled a summer of love.. and yes that mayor is a complete gimp and needs to be recalled

Being missouri they would be stomping these citizens a new azzhole..most likely drive a tank through the mother fucker. I mean they bought the tank..might as well put the tax payers money to good use

And you know damn well you'd be cheering...calling these people a cult or terror cell or racist AF hillbillies..

So whats the difference between meth making white hill billies and those living in the chop zone.

You can't declair yourself a sovereign nation. No doubt there are federal laws that deal with this.
Seattle should wrap this up quickly cause trump may have legal standings to bring in the army..

And as this drags on and gets weirder by the day..
One minute this self identified transgendered lesbian is in charge until abuse charges come out..
Then some rapper walks around packing heat and claims he's in charge..

..the more people will agree with trump

President has the authority to send in a few hundred Army Rangers or Marines, with the instructions that anybody seen with any kind of weapon is an enemy combatant, and can be shot on sight. The fact that he is giving tremendous leeway to the cowardly mayor of Seattle, and the equally cowardly governor shows that President Trump has far more patience than I do.

I say set up a perimeter around the area, noting in, nothing out, set up jammers if they have them, and deploy snipers to take out anyone with a firearm, I don't think they would think they are so important real quickly.

So a quick note, since it appears that neither of the previous comments were written by anyone who understands rules of engagement, ROE doesn't work that way. I'll use Iraq as an example.

I served two tours in Iraq as an active-duty Marine. When I was deployed, we were told specifically that Iraqis were permitted by law to carry an AK-47 with a 30-round magazine loaded. We were NOT authorized to shoot on sight. Looking at Washington, I don't see a whole lot of difference there.

Washington is an open-carry state. The Army and the Marine Corps cannot be lawfully ordered to fire upon civilians carrying weapons unless they are first fired upon. To order service personnel to fire upon civilians that are not acting in a hostile manner constitutes an unlawful order, and anyone who issues or follows such an order can be prosecuted at General Court Martial. With the number of cameras that exist in the U.S. today, you can bet your ass there will be plenty of evidence to secure convictions.

Now that's not to say I support what's going on there. I consider it to be an act of sedition and/or insurrection and should have been quashed already. It's one thing to protest. That is a right guaranteed by the Constitution. The "CHAZ" could be considered an armed rebellion, which is NOT a right of the people afforded by the constitution or the Declaration of Independence, while alternate means of redress of grievances exists in a reasonable sense. It should be shut down with as minimal casualties as possible.

As a Washingtonian, I have to say, I would love to see President Trump intervene as do most of my friends who live here also. When a group is extorting money from businesses that said group has taken over a perimeter of the city, it is not only a crime, it has become a war zone. The Mayor and a City Councilman allowed this to happen, gave them access to the City Hall, how was that allowing "love" to open up the City Hall to a group who has no business being in there other then attending to City business? The Mayor has put a stand down order on the Police, people in that six block radius have no means for medical attention as "CHAZ" or "CHOP" won't allow them to enter and even if they did, no first Responder would do so without police protection. This has gone beyond all levels of civil liberties of "protesting" or "freedom to assemble".

I'm hoping President Trump is being advised accurately and is waiting for the Mayor and the Governor to step deeper in the hole they have dug for themselves and then takes action. Washingtonians have had to deal with Antifa, BLM "protesters" far too many years. Friends who live in Seattle say it is now a ghost town. People leaving in groves, businesses burned to the ground, big businesses leaving. Waterfront shops closed with possibly never opening again. Waterfront is the big attraction for Seattle and people come from all over to experience it.

We have heard that the bikers are coming to save Seattle, but those are just rumors. Hell"s Angels and another rival biker "club" joining forces. Many of us are hoping it's not rumor and that they will take care of the problem, since our "esteemed" do nothing Governor pretends ignorance.
