The day you realize your boss is a complete thief I work for a mom and pop shop... And honestly i was amazed at the nice cars,the big houses on the golf courses...not to mention the three divorces my boss had. I never understood where the money came from. I always just assumed he was a great salesman and just got lucky. But today i was in a car with another employee and we were letting off steam... I let out that i always wondered how the boss earned all that money...i joked is the boss selling coke out of his trunk.. Honestly my boss has 1 shop but had a 500,000 house in a gated community.. And the other employee said didnt you hear about the blank blank company??? Huh we stopped doing business with them years ago?? Yeah cause the purchasing agent was putting in orders for a 1000 units and we were delivering 10. The boss paid the agent his cut under the table. Gave him gifts like golf clubs and trips. Eventually that dude got fired And in another company the agent ordered ten and then took 3 home...so he kept putting in huge orders with us. Seems like everyone was a complete thief...one hand washing the other And apparently this shady shit went on with alot of the customers. I never envied my boss..despite his wealth he was always trailer trash.. And today i find out what a thief he is. I literally work for a thief...and i thought he was just an asshole. |

I did not work for a blatant thief (although I worked alongside a few), but I once worked at a place where the boss was so full of shit that I quit believing anything he told me. And I mean literally anything. One day he told me that he was at a sports bar in Detroit the night before, and he was talking to one of the Detroit Tigers there. I called up a friend of mine who used to be a batboy for the Tigers, and was friends with many of the players. I asked him if so and so was at the Lindell AC last night, and he told me no, he went right home after the game. It's not a lot of fun working for someone who lies to you all the time. I left that place after one grueling month.

Not my boss, but the owners! They had a corporation and leased all the properties, the buildings and machines to the company and then took huge salaries for themselves. So the the business could take an annual loss but they got their huge salaries first. All legal!
