Interesting question..can one be a maschioist without being submissive See below |

I ask this with complete honesty. I think im naturally submissive...but i have never been that step and fetch guy. Been called not a real sub numerous time by lifestyle people But i find myself finally interested in pain and being pushed deeper. And but i don't think people are able to seperate the two So can one be a maschioist without being overly submissive

Yes and I will give you a valid example. A great friend of mine was a boxer for a number of years. He loved pain and ate it like candy. Submissive is not a word I would ever use to describe him. I will blow your mind like a verbal John Wilkes Booth

Without question you can be masochist without being submissive and equally vice/versa. I find it more interesting that someone who self professes that they have been into this lifestyle so long has not met enough people to be comfortable with that statement. To me it is the equivalent of saying "you are into blonde girls, so you must have a clown fetish". There is no intrinsic link between the two (though in my case I have enjoyed both ). I think the sad thing is that many view BDSM as linked couplets, the Submission comes with Masochism; rather than flavours we get to blend as our own personal chefs. I do wish you good luck finding someone to help you explore your masochism further, with (or without) any form of submissive / dominant interaction.

Yes, I have played with a hardcore masochist who was only submissive when I had him in restraints. However, I have always kept the concept inside my head that a masochist does not really need a sadist.
