 So yeah..im not one of these hillbilly rednecks that can change out a motor quicker than they can fuck their sister.

So my roomie has a 2017 mazda 3 w locking lugs..

She wants to travel 5 hrs away..she has a small leak in her tire.

I go.
.no shitting cause this is a real exchange..

To the Mazda dealership and ask to buy a key lug...my roommate never got one.

I am...wait for it..

Told i can't buy one..she needes to bring the car to the dealership so they can match it up..apparently mazda has 16 plus differen lug nuts..

???

And then he would have to send the order to new york...huh???

I literally gave this manager my best grumpy cat meme..rip.. stare and asked wtf...
it's a mazda not a Porsche...stops him in his tracks..

Then the manager literaly said i could sharkbite off these lugs..

 Locking lugs are bullshit. They might keep your neighbor's kid from stealing your 1200 dollar wheels but that's all. to remove them spend 30 dollars at amazon..ABN Twist Socket Set Lug Nut Remover Extractor Tool. These are hammered on the wheel nut and bite into the metal..then you just impact it off easy peasy..I'd recommend having a Milwaukee m12 compact inflator also. It's what I carry along with a spare battery...

 I think the kicker is most people either lose the lug key or keep it in their glove box...

 It actually goes a lot deeper than just this situation. Most of the car makers have joined a consortium that is lobbying hard to actually make it illegal to do repairs on a car. The argument is that technically the car belongs to THEM even though you paid for it and you have no right to alter it in any way. Not a lot of traction on the plan thus far, but I doubt they will stop trying.
