I professed before

That i am not a professional.

But one doesnt get the nickname " the king of the 10 cent fixes" without working some magic.

I am a plugger,a ground pounder,a MacGyver...a good ole boy...someone that fixes shit cause he isnt mark fuckenburg.

Duct tape should be named..Leo tape.

But as crafty as I am...

My knowledge is based on things working ( or not) a certain..way

And then there is the ford motor company..

With It's vast slew of engineers and designers that thought it was
Okay ( note the sarcasm as it drips)

To put the alternator so close to the exhaust..

But hey
It's cool..let's just throw up this heat shield that one cant remove..to give you access

So yeah..I can't even see the alternator..more or less inspect/ clean it's connections.

And anything done with the alternator..
Must be done from the underside

My experience with alternators is simple...they work for 120,000 miles and then they stop.

15 minutes and 100 dollars later...and your good to go.

Unless your the Ford motor company...the alternator being so close to the heat from the exhaust ruins them prematurely.
And they are a bitch to replace..

I honestly can say I never had an alternator go out slowly until I bought a ford....now this aftermarket one lasted 8 months and maybe 9000 miles..

And my bitch ass will be putting in another this weekend..

I think I'm smart..but bought a ford focus...

And am the dumbest mf on the planet..
