Corn bread w bacon??? What else have you been hiding from me See below |

Sooo yeah.. I think people outside the US have to realise that everyone in America isnt generic/ the same. I'm obviously not from the south. I grew up in pennsylvania... Where certain things like hockey and soccer.. Like certain foods..weren't done. I had biscuits and gravy once in my life... And i had to go to Mississippi to experience it. I had corn bread maybe 3 times...and to me it was bland,hard,pseudo cake.. So you can imagine me watching duck dynasty and.. Holy fuck...japallanos,cheese and bacon is added to your corn bread??? I got robbed😠😡🤥. Those are my 3 fav ingredients People be serving me this bland yellow cake..passing it off as.." Corn bread"..like wtf people?? What else have I been missing????

"What else have I been missing?" Well, probably a lot, but I ate plenty of cornbread growing up in central Ohio, as well as biscuits & gravy. Cornbread was usually served when we had chili.

I don't think I've had corn bread with jalapenos myself, but then I think jalapenos are too spicy. I had a friend in college that could simply eat jalapenos the way you'd eat a tomato without a knife. He couldn't stand the dark red hot peppers in many Chinese/Manchurian dishes, which I had no problem with (well, I didn't eat them directly, but he couldn't eat anything that had them). But I have also had corn bread with a bit of honey - pretty good stuff.
