And before i get bashed for this take...I'm not suggesting anyone over the age of 20 suddenly become ward and June cleaver ( for those 20 somethings reading my blog that referrence is to the tv program " leave it to beaver".
(Even though alot of us like being hard on the beaver)

I'm totally cool with older guys playing video games or getting back to card collecting..women maybe getting the new monster high dolls.

But there is this certain sect of the younger generation that refuses to grow up..I'm referring to the couple w/o kids that constantly goes to Disney and dresses up.

Or in this case..my roomie got an invite to a baby shower..it just happened to be " Harry potter" themed.....the invite started out...from " smuggle to mom"
??? Is this even a thing...
What next? Star trek gender reveal parties??,

So whatever..she likes Harry potter...what's the biggie?

But what's really was cringe when the invite went on to compare this 30 yr old woman to..
Hermione granger..???
Who is what??? 10 in the books???
Your a 30yr soon to be mom comparing yourself to a child's novel character

It seemed creepy to me...sorta like an adult wearing a pseudo costume to Disney because It's " magical"..

Now imagine single 30 something guy going to Disney or throwing a Harry potter themed party..complete with costumes..
I forgot you can wear a costume to a baby shower.

And maybe you can see how stupid this sounds..

Ironically in my day it was called " Peter pan" syndrome..
And just applied mostly to men

It seems like we have a whole generation of people that grew up on star wars, disney princesses,Harry potter..

And see themselves as those characters..
