Rigged?

Yes and no...

First off if the NFL was going to rig games so certain teams win..I doubt 2 smaller tv markets ( kc and philly)would be in the championship.

Your new yorks..your LA..or Texas teams would be featured instead..

Second if the league wanted kc to win...You'd think the $$$,the hype machine of the league,tv networks would make him a " Tom cruise superstar"..
Sure football fans know mcholmes...but is he known in europe, china, japan???
Not too many people overseas will care about a Kelsey brother superbowl

And sure a lot of fans COMPLAINED about the refs and the officiating....
But this is one of the biggest games...I'd rather hold the wide receiver and get a penalty than let him skate past me for an easy reception.

And teams know refs rarely call all the penalties...the refs usually don't want to overtly decide who wins the game.
So they let's some things slide..

Like they say one could call holding on every play..

And some coaches know this and tell their players to hold on purpose.

Plus the refs are only human and like 50 yr old dudes..they can't see everything..they don't have 4.2 speed like some of the wide receivers..

Is the NFL rigged? Nah....if people really want to watch a rigged league...look into the nba..
From rigged draft lotteries..to resting players..to flopping..to getting certain teams into the playoffs..like the Lakers...oh wait they couldn't even make the extended playoff one and done bracket

Another thing to consider when you watch the Superbowl.
Kc has shitty/ rookie cornerbacks and safetys...the team invested the real money in the D line/ the pass rusj

They are gonna get beat ALOT..I'm talking being cooked

So they most likely will hold a wide receiver, hook him or grab his jersey..

Whether the refs call it? May make or break the Superbowl and your opinion if the league is riggef

I see Arian Foster, the former star running back for the Houston Texans, 'revealed' how the NFL was 'scripted' in the news. Also New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey and New England Patriots pass-rusher Matt Judon were among the NFL players to chime in on the scripting. Way to much money involved in pro football to even remotely think that there would be no rigging of any kind going on. Anytime there is that kind of money on the line there will be all kinds of cheating going on. It happens in the school leagues on up. Any sport or activity, especially with large sums of money at stake, will have cheating going on. If they can pay off enough people to close a blind eye things go great. All it takes is one that does not get their "fair share" and the house comes tumbling down. The only loser with it on their forehead are ones that would even remotely think that any sport would not have some form of cheating associated with it.

As you said, yes and no.

It’s not deliberately scripted like pro wrestling, but the NFL plays favorites according to national narratives and popular marquee players and teams. The first time I witnessed this was the 2009 Saints….the bountygate year. It was right after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the city and nation needed healing and a feel good story. So they made sure the Saints had every advantage in the playoffs to get to the SB. But the Saints still had to play well enough to win….with the obvious help of the NFL tilting the playing field to get the best possible odds in favor of it. So in general, yes it’s rigged, but the outcomes aren’t guaranteed.
