Nothing worse than doing alot of ,mechanical work on a car to gain access to a part...

In this case a Toyota rav4...

And the genius engineers at Toyota decided to literally shove the upper radiator hose right next to it.

So I have to use an opened ended wrench to extract the alternator bolt...
And yeah it started to round off..

Completely frozen that bolt is..I removed the rad hose and got a ratchet on it with a brakerbar..
And rounded it off a lil more

So instead of me simply getting out the bolts like in the vid..
I most likely will now have to take it to a shop..

A repair that normally I could do...Will now probably cost 600 dollars.

And yes I tried heating it up with my mini jewellers torch..put pb blaster penetrant on it..

My main thing is the bolt now is really rounding off

Try a strap wrench or small chain wrench.

If you can find a small enough one to grab onto the bolt head you might get lucky

OH OH OH, mini pipe wrench might grab it

I mean the bold head is already messed up so you don't have much to loose

buy a nut splitter comes in handy to split and crack rusted nuts off the bolt. My ex taught me that

Depending on what you can fit in there, a pipe wrench or vice grips with a long length of galvanized pipe for leverage.
