Filming in target..do you have the right to tell someone no

There actually is a court case going on in Georgia where this woman was having a fit in target..
Another woman filmed it,uploaded it to social media..cause that is what we do now a days..
And of course it went viral...

The woman throwing the fit sued.

Now I'm not a lawyer..
But people in the Yahoo comments section kept bringing up the concept that you have no expectation of privacy in a public space..

They assumed public space meant any where anyone can access, open to the public

And your protection is limited to the changing rooms, restrooms and areas off limits to non employees.

I told the commenters that they are completely wrong.

Target is a private business. You can enter a store but they can tell you to leave..

Try taking a camera into target and start recording the staff. Most likely the cops will be called and you will be tresspassed from all target owned properties.

A business is not a public access nor space. You have no right to say start a protest in their lobby.

And target like many stores post a no recording policy..

Ergo as a customer I see a target store as a space where not only my privacy is respected..

But my image ( yes you have rights to your image and how it is used) is as well..

No doubt the person that uploaded this woman's target rant made money from it..

I'm not blaming target. You can't stop every idiot from whipping out their phone and recording.

But a responsible YouTuber etc will blur out this woman's identity/ face when they upload a video.

Maybe filing lawsuits will stop this gorilla style blogging..

Sure this won't stop people from filming in stores etc..cause most people who do this are straight trash with no money..

But if target gets looped into this..or the poster has $$$ or is a big time influencer..

Then a lawsuit might stop this nonsense.

Don't get me wrong. I am not against filming in public..say on the sidewalk..a protest on city streets or in a city park..

But a store isn't public..

You have no right to film me or use my image without my written consent.

This also harkens to the IHOP video...
A grown assed woman took video of herself receiving an order of pancakes..
And then proceeded to act like a 5 yr old high on koolaid and sugar.

She started clapping,jumping around..

Also shown in the video is a white woman throwing shade at her antics..

So where's the harm...the video went viral and people said the white woman was " racist" and people started to make threats to this woman throwing shade.

Once again pancake girl made $$$ from the video, filmed the other woman w/o permission and literally damaged the white woman's public image..

She could be say fired by her employer for daring to look at this 22 yr old acting like a baby.

And from what understand this wasn't pancake girl just smiling when she was served pancakes..
She was jumping up and down..
At an IHOP..

My point is simple...

If you record something in a private business..

Say your the "arcade bro."..your youtube channel features you playing J apanese crane games..

You first ask the business owner permission to film..

Second you blur the faces of the people that walk into your videos..

Not only is it an easy and simple editing process..

It's common courtesy

Finally a little bit of public common sense
