Patience

Some people have it and some people don't. I'm not sure if it's something you are innately born with, or if it is something is impressed upon you during your developmental years.

In scenario ** 1 **, I was born lacking. Akin being born without an appendage, one must learn develop ways deal with this handicap. Managing this affliction becomes a daily chore. The constant reminders keep yourself check by not honking the horn in traffic, by not pushing by someone in front of you because they're walking too slowly, by not making impulse purchases when you're in line the store, and by not rushing into relationships without enough information to ensure the relationship has a chance of success.

scenario** 2 **, I was left developmentally challenged. If your parents are supposed provide you with Direction and set the example, then I was doomed from the moment I was conceived. Never ones set an example, I was left own devices and only nurtured the things in myself I saw as deficient. Having never considered impulsiveness as a weakness, it wasn't until I was late into formative years I looked patience a different light.

No matter what the reason, as a Young Man I realized I lacked patience. I it ** "demon" **.

Now I've spent entire life with demon. It's never been Tamed, I've only found better ways of dealing with its ferocity.

The first of these ways is experience. I've found the more experience I have any particular scenario, the more I can give into impulsiveness and be certain I'm making the correct decision.

The second of these ways is information. The more information from past I have rely on, the quicker the decision I can make.

And the third and most important way I have learned deal with demon is gut.

gut is well aware of previous experience and the of information I gathered in those experiences. It steers clear of Danger. It protects from making horrible mistakes by signaling I might be heading down the wrong Path.

It also gently nudges the right direction when impulse wants consume me I always refer gut. What does gut say? Does it say proceed or does they stop? gut is as decisive as I have become with age. Decisiveness is not a handicap. It is born from many years of information and experience. When gut talks, I listen even if it's against better judgement. This is not say I don't use brain in decisions. brain is often tilted in One Direction and gut the other. Unfortunately, with ability overthinking, if brain is ultimately left with the decision, it can often be detriment. Leaving me hopelessly wishing I had listened gut.

Having said all of this it should be understood I'm an advocate for patience. Those who have it should exercise it and make good choices based on their ability think things through. I would also be remiss if I didn't say on occasion gut had let down. I will however say it is let down far fewer times brain has.

When it comes this lifestyle and experiencing the platforms have opened up our lifestyle the masses, I have learned one thing. You can speak any of people and your brain or your heart will tell you one thing, but your gut will, more often than not, be more aware of the correct decision than either of the other two.
