One of my favorite Meatloaf songs. Jim Steinman was a lyrical genius

I absolutely adored this post. It hit home to me on so many levels. You're so right about the quiet ones. Your post reminded me of a Hunter S. Thompson quote that I love. As for the song I recognized it as soon as I saw the title of the post. (Awesome as well).

"The Edge" By Hunter S. Thompson
The Edge… There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others — the living — are those who pushed their luck as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later.

"Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.”

Meatloaf rocks! I have been to Hell and back. Fear is something that keeps us safe. This is an interesting post.
