What Ya Got Cookin'? One of the things about me and my pussy craft is, I am a certifiable foodie. Anthony Bourdain was my dream dinner date, hands down! And hot damn that man was hotter as he aged. In my opinion, anyone with immense sensuality usually also appreciates amazing food. Not only am I a foodie, but I am also an accomplished chef at home. I know that sounds cocky, but I hold my merits from the praise of others. My family owned a restaurant and I grew up in it. I worked the kitchen many times over. But, I didn't learn to cook really well, until I had my offspring. She was diagnosed with celiac disease, and I had to learn to cook everything gluten free. These were the days before it became another celebrity fad diet. Due to that, I forged a company and traveled all over the US setting up trade shows/seminars for gluten free people who needed it for medical reasons. From the east coast to Nevada and Nebraska, I had events. This put me on the road for 11 years. I was seen on the news channels in every city. Hell, I was even on NPR educating about gluten free and the host loved my homemade crackers. Who knew, right? Anyway...Back to food... My spawn and I got to eat in all the best restaurants, in every city we did a show. This became a foodie adventure, much like Bourdain, and yet, add in gluten free. However, despite getting to eat all those different cultures and traveling, I still love home cooked meals the most. My specialties include: Southern (no, its not all fried although I make a mean fried flounder) Cajun (Family from Baton Rouge) BBQ & Grill Mediterranean Mexican Asian (including sushi rolls) Jewish (My Nona) Cuban & Caribbean (My time in Key West) What is your favorite? Song for this post Hey Good Lookin' - Hank Williams Sr |

All the above and more please, growing up in rural, small town America, there hasn't been much diversity in food. Oohhhh, you didn't mention enjoying a beer too.

I absolutely adore Anthony Bourdain. His quick wit and bad boy antics were the best. I can be a foodie and traveling like I did for work gave me that opportunity. Give me a bowl of Tonkatsu ramen or Pho and I'm a happy girl.

Remind me what was it you said someone you worked with said about you? Layers upon layers upon layers. You certainly sound like a remarkable lady.

RIP Anthony Bourdain, I feel like I didn’t appreciate him enough when he was alive, but his shows in all their incarnations were brilliant, entertaining, educational and groundbreaking really. He was the perfect guy at the perfect time. I’m glad he missed the age of Covid, as his show would have been impossible to do now. Are you on Twitch? That’s where I catch all his shows now. There are at least three Anthony Bourdain channels on that platform that stream his shows. As for me, cooking has taken on a new meaning since Covid. At the start of the lockdown, cooking was a necessity unless one was getting takeout often…which I wasn’t. So cooking all three meals a day from scratch became the norm at my house. It’s been over two and a half years now and I haven’t gone back to a sit in dine in restaurant experience since. I’ve only had take out about 5-6 times. Most of the meals are solid, easy, basic staple dinners but with fresh non processed ingredients…as one can’t go hog wild five course meal every night. But I have gotten much much better at cooking and guess what…. it’s fun! It’s fun to have a glass of beer or wine while cooking and making a good relaxing time out of it. Regarding what types? I’ve taken a special interest in Indian style food. Love the Indian spices and colors. The tastes are out of this world. Masala sauces, curry, and even naan…although you’ve got to have their special ovens to make the really good authentic smokey tasting naan. Also like doing garden fresh, low fat, healthy Mexican with homemade tortillas. So there was a very nice benefit from home cooking…no eating out and no packaged supermarket food…I lost significant weight, got much healthier and got off two blood medication prescriptions!! I recommend it to anyone!

I know you are a foodie and a wiz kitchen magician 😉 I'll pass on the sushi. I started with cooked sushi rools, it's an option you may like and it can be SUPER healthy with veggies. I have a recipe I'll give you ... And I thought you liked a little raw stuff hahahaha

I am a foodie but I am lactose intolerant, have fibro and control it with diet as well as my kidneys to think of. It has limited my foods as well and I get it. It sucks for me because I loved eating whatever I wanted to.

When I was in the Uk, I made dinner for my late Master;s rugby mates. They wanted something cajun and southern so I made Gumbo with mexican cornbread. Well, I had to special order corn meal and adouille because they don't grow corn. I love me some fresh cornbread out the iron skillet. OMG melt! So you have some corn huh?
