Great song great band. I sort of feel the same way. I’m not a flag waver. To me it’s a lot of bullying. If your not all red white and blue. Or in my case all red and maple leafs. I love our flag it’s cool but it’s the thing that you do every day. It’s how a country builds its social nets to help. Medicare dental care for young kids it should be universal. Unemployment when you lose your job. Subsidies of day care. You build a nation that has a just society.

Happy Birthday the 4th has never been my favorite holiday, either. Too much phony BS. It's like all the patriotism comes out for one day, then disappears, except for the right wing nuts that think they are the countries saviors with their military mentality and love of guns and ammo. I'll just sit at home and chat with whoever else isn't watching fireworks and hope no fires are started by them.

Happy Birthday, Infinite. The 4th is my least favorite holiday, other than the simple bbq foods, I can’t stand the crowds, the drunkards, the fireworks, the misguided nationalism masquerading as patriotism. I could go on and on regarding “American Exceptionalism” and how we “bring democracy” to the world…but won’t, probably no point in it. I’d much rather head the opposite direction from the crowds and go camping in a nice quiet spot and actually enjoy America, the parts I like best about it, her tremendous landscapes and natural beauty!
