The Irony of It All  When endings happen, they aren't always welcomed. Especially, it seems in jobs and relationships. We are creatures of habit after all. We welcome the day to day of the known over the unknown. The salon I have been working at has an owner who is married to someone on the se.x regi.stry. I didn't know this until a couple months ago. Not only that, she hired a young stylist who is an ass kisser to the point she started calling her mommy and her husband Daddy. That was where I drew the line. On Tuesday, they fired me because I was distancing myself. I knew it was coming, so I had been compiling lists of to call when the shit show blew apart. And as usual, I am finding this was likely the best outcome overall. Isn't it ironic that I am offended by the twisted antics of damaged people not in the lifestyle? It's a crazy world... That is an amazing version isn't it? As I said, those who do music live and to that quality, that's art  The moody blues shopped in my parents hippie store in 1970...How cool is that? That album is incredible start to finish.xxxx

In your country is there a difference between a layoff and being fired? I was volunteering at the food pantry most of the day and I am trying to catch up reading the blogs.

In certain states they can fire you for pretty much anything except discrimination, but they just dress it up as something else. Layoff means you can claim unemployment and sometimes if fired unjustifiably. Not worried moving on
