Play That Funky Music  I was lucky to come through my early years at a time when funk music was at its height. My brother was heavily into it and introduced me to some of the greats. His best friends were black and they played it any time we were hanging out in the basement. Todd was a lanky 6'3, so he looked funny doing all the arm movements and dancing like DooRun on What's Happening. He took me to my first concert - Earth Wind and Fire/The Commodores. I was such a young thing at only 9 years. It is one of my favorite memories with him. There were many though. We rode dirt bikes together, camped, hung out at all times because both parents worked. Todd unfortunately died from a car crash at 18 years young. I was only 10 at the time. It changed my family forever. But I will always remember him when I hear Funk  Much respect to Todd. I hope he is still dancing.
