At 56 I can concur with everything said. Expectations need to parallel with realities. If we’re lucky, the mind will be the last thing to go. But at times it’s difficult to convince the mind that the body it controls and any it’s responsible for, are not as pliable and fluid as they once were.

After decades of contact sports, now that I'm nearing 70, I'd love to be a sub, but I'd have to put in my requirements that it has to happen in a love seat or recliner. There's a joy in motion - may you always be moving.

We have talked about some of the issues and they are real. I believe you're omitting some of the other things that happen in your profession. It's tough, demanding and the body takes a beating. I have my own things going on and realize that my Chi is out of balance. I'm diving into this looking at physical therapy, massage, and acupuncture. Of course, I have to do the work. My calendar is going to be pretty full. No pain no gain. We know what we have to do. Hang in there! Xo Howling at the moon and mal ad osteo.
