The real enemy- limited character social media posts. Honestly, it's a nightmare. I used actually challenge myself write immensely emotional mini fiction stories using tumblr's ask/message system, which is less than a tweet, but if the first chunk of this sentence didn't make apparent, I use a lot of words to say what I try to say. Sparse and succinct is not the way of me Which brings me to an amusing observation- I 100% am not using ANY social media the way it was originally intended to be used, and I take a very Safety Dance approach- you can dance if you want to. Metaphorically. I mean, I can hold my own dancing with old folks, but do not ask me to twerk. That said, and having made clear how generally out of sync I am with this shit, does it not bother anyone else that with a delightful spread of comment enabled interaction on this site, we can't comment on...other people's comments on our status updates, vids and pics? That's weird, right? We're losing a whole chunk of interaction potential there. Sure, I could reply by sending a message, but I speak only for myself, but human beings are inherently lazy as fuck. I'd love to see the data on messages sent in response to commentary. I'm guessing those stats need work. I dunno. I would reply to comments if I could. Bonus pondering- what the fuck is the purpose of other than foolish horny teenagers sending awkward pics of their underwear, or whatever shady shit thing they're doing these days. When I was that age, if I wanted send a picture of the titties a romantic partner or booty call, I had just show where they were, dressed (or in this case, undressed) for the occasion. Better times, man. |

I am not of the generation that thinks that those short blast of words mean much. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

I'd like to see the metaphorical version of a twerk. I also have difficulty budgeting my words. If sentences were food, I would have trouble fitting through a doorway.
