Purity is extremely rare in life. As such, true "pure" submissives are rare as well. The remainder are humans with an interest, looking to take on a role that they find pleasing. It is understandable, and should be expected, that a person looking to take on a submissive role would want a foundational understanding over the baseline items she/he would receive in return during her/his episodes of submission. It is a common belief that the submissive has all the power, constantly setting boundaries. This behavior is simply an introductory manifestation of that. With that said, it is a pleasure to occasionally find that roleplaying jewel who actually opens these boundary discussions with a submissive attitude, rather than as some mercantile business whore at a board meeting.
