Disappointing expectations (this site)

Oddly enough there was no content of hate, weapons, or under age. My post was clearly focused on how this site back in 2000 helped me greatly in finding a life long connection here and upon my return to try again, I have bee disgusted by the high frequency of fake accounts and scammers. So I will edit slightly to show my displeasure and disgust for the scammers and fakers that ruin the experience here and try this post again. I only question now, does this mean the administrators of this site acknowledged the problem and deal with it by only banning talk about it?

Many, many moons ago, back in 2000, I used this site and sister site Bondage.com to find a potential compatible lifestyle partner. I was very pleased when I met a young woman from this site for a face to face at a local coffee shop and things hit it off real well. By the summer of 2001, we shared an apartment and not long after she accepted a metal collar of ownership and protection. The relationship lasted 18 years through an apartment, duplex, rented house, and in 2009 we purchased a house together. Sadly, she departed this existence due to medical conditions related to cancer in 2018, but I will say she proudly wore her collar 24/7 in public, at family events, everywhere except for medical procedures where it was required to come off.

Now that the sensitive time of grieving has passed, coming on two years now, I have returned in complete shock to find that appears to be a site full of villainy, scammers, and lifestylers from Nigeria. The scum is thicker than a sheen of disgusting film on a unmaintained hot tub. It sickens me to see so many people that think they can hide behind a computer and prey upon the emotions of others for financial gain. They boarder of the lines less of human and more of animal.

In a week since re-starting my account here as a paid member, I have had emails from nearly a hundred people and well over that for profile views. All but ONE were fake. That equates to roughly 1 percent of the people here are real and genuine in their purpose here other than to be a low life, scum bucket, scammer. Sadly it was determined early in the communications phases with this ONE person that both of us are firmly situated in our careers without a means to really uproot and move. I respected her honestly in this as I have put this plainly in my profile as well. And yes, I do work a government job for the Judicial System (This part was edited where I had made note to the scammers to go elsewhere and referred to them more or less as pseudo-human for preying on others. I have removed this in case it was viewed as hate, but in reality it was just my verbal opinion of disgust). So far, if it were not for the time I would have to invest in proving the fraudulent nature of this site, I would not only cancel my account, but charge back my worthless financial fee I paid for the right to be spammed by filth.

However if someone reading this sees any possible connection for a compatibility of what they seek here and they are willing to prove a real identity and genuine purpose, you are freely and openly invited to send me a message. If you do and note this blog/rant, you will likely get read and not instantly put into the FAKE category and trashed.

Is there a site for alternative lifestyle people that has a lower population of scammers online to use someone would recommend?

Sadly alt has gone downhill and it was a swift decline. The trolls, fakes, scammers all came out of the woodwork. There's rarely anyone around that's genuine or has a clue what a BDSM relationship is about. Even worse, I know of women that understand and even enjoy the lifestyle using men as puppets to move in with just to have a place to live. I would suggest going the old school route and finding a munch or slosh near you.

I really would love to do more at a local level. Sadly, my area does not have a robust community of like minded people with activities I have found. I did once, but I felt very uncomfortable there as it was more for poly/swingers and I was the only single person there.

A couple weeks ago, on the Home Page, there were some profiles listed that you could write things about. This is where I frequently warn others that it is a fake profile. My warnings get completely ignored by the many sad, desperate, and pathetic men here. One guy in particular left a message warning others that the person in one profile was a fake, and that he sent that person $300, and has yet to meet them in person. WHY would you send $300 to someone you have never met before? This is why Alt is so full of scammers. They know that there are a lot of dumb suckers here who will send $300 in gift cards to an email address without knowing who they are actually sending money to. As long as Alt has suckers, there will be scammers eager to take their money.

Mr. sidvicious13,

I have seen warnings of yours and some others in the past, and I thank you and applaud your activism. I just really wish the admins of this site and management would stop pocketing easy money for a change, take some pride in the service they have provided, and have a serious meeting on what changes would be necessary to clean up just some of the filth. It would take just a couple of coders a couple of days to implement some chances that would influence some positivity here and refresh the place a bit.
