Dear lady using humour is a very good way of breaking that possible depressive aura that lingers when you are discussing a sad topic. For those that are not close to that sad situation we understand your sanity is important.

Talking about funeral homes and situations is, given the situation in the USA is pretty important, and should be discussed. Another point to reflect upon is how big are the cemeteries and is there a need to identify future areas given how quickly they are being used these days.

I hope you stay well and safe dear lady, and I hope your family stays that way too. Please take care.

Dark humor is a coping mechanism for some. Use as needed.

Dark humour is how many people survive these moments of stress and intensity.

There are moments when all of us need a break from the news there is no shame in that. Nothing is more precious for many, in these times than moments of solitude. Even though we are in lock down, we are not always locked down from responsibilities and family. Interacting can weigh us down.

Enjoy your solitude and Merry Christmas. It is one of the weirdest Christmases we have all had, but there are many blessings and gifts to be found.

Happy Holidays

You found parts of me I didn’t know existed and in you I found a love I no longer believed was real.

When you mentioned funeral directors I thought of what happened to someone I knew who died from COVID19. He was learning disabled and has been living most of his life in a state-assisted living facility. In 2019 the management of the facility changed from Catholic Charities to a for-profit management company. and the care in the facility dropped and covid spread threw the facility like wildfire. When he died the family went to their family funeral director. Because the family could not attend the funeral director was going to video the funeral. That never happened. The facility informed the guardian responsible that they would bury him for nothing, and she took the offer. I assume the state would pay more than the $250 you get from Social Security for the funeral and they were looking to make a profit from the death. When I last spoke to his sister they would not even give them a date for the burial.

At least we've inoculated the country for the next four years and the vaccine is on the way.
