Just wondering if he is a UPMC doc since you are out that way. I keep getting emails from them that they are still waiting for enough doses to start doing the general public. They are of course doing their employees and first responders first. I really wanted to go to UPMC Harrisburg but made an appt. with another hospital for the 25th

Kaiser in Hawaii messed up. They made no announcement or even a email blast to members and people found out via FB posting that shots were available. The bad thing? You didn't need to be a member and 50 years old was the minimum. WTF? I sent them a nasty email about the lack of information from them to members, giving shots to 50 and up and anyone could get it. Nothing worse than an old retiree with time on their hands to make "good trouble"

Dear GH, Happy New Year! Hope all continues to be well with you. I'm willing to get vaccinated, but there still seems to be long wait times to even get an appointment. Life in New Jersey... you got to love it... Have a nice day!

I got my 2nd shot yesterday. I was lucky I hit refresh when they opened up appointments for 65+. and got 2 appointments Unfortunately politics has a hand in distribution. In the next town over, we have a large Hasidic community. who vote in a block. Politicians turn a blind eye for fear of losing their votes. Of the 4200 doses available this week 2000 went to clinics run by the Hasidic Comunity who said they were for the clinic's patient only. The County Health Center. where I got my shot only got 1200. To be fair most doses went to the town that had the highest covid19 rate. A cousin from Russia told me a joke. It is the old Soviet Union and people are waiting outside the bakery for bread. The baker announces there will not be enough bread for everybody Jews go home. After an hour of waiting in the cold, he announces there will not be enough bread all the women go home. After another hour he announces there will be no bread. As 2 men walk home one goes to the other and says "Damm it those Jews have it easy" Even if you distribute the vaccine to those who have suffered the most it will feed the racism/antisemitism of the people who did not get their shots.
