Do you have your favorite fragrance? Which one is it?

We are creatures of habit, but whether some choices are habit or somehow more ingrained on some fundamental instinctual level is something I believe varies by individual. Then there is the question of addiction. My my are we not a complicated species?

Both complicated and simple, depending on the perspective

A lady's natural essence that slowly seeps out of her panties as I draw closer to nirvana.

I loved reading you ,thank you for the delightful images and fragrances raised .You know ,for me ,what immediately leaps out ,after your mention of the deep and provocative patchouli and earthy vetiver . . . . . .is awareness .
It is our well honed awareness that not only allows us to dive deeply into all that delights us , but also to shape our reality ,as suits us .So perhaps ,you will continue loving one of your favourite fragrances ,now also learning more about its base notes . . . . .also too maybe learning which qualities in partners ,friends etc.you now prefer.
I love to blend my own fragrance and so ,like you I adore patchoui and vertiver .I also love leather ,oud ,cinnamon ,vanilla, frankinsence ,neroli and cedarwood .

Thank you for your contribution to this topic. I never knew there is a meaning of any of those notes... and I seem to like both deep and provocative and even more earthy bit. I tend to believe I am an "earthy" woman, grounded and rational... until I am not
And being self-aware is something I'd love to be, but still working on that lecture.

Oh sure .... Just make me curious so I have to go to the shopping mall and locate a bottle of Mademoiselle to smell. See how you are?!?!

"Sir, you're allowed to smell our fragrances, but not pour a whole bottle over your head!"

About the only two colognes I have ever worn are English Leather in my younger years and then Jovan after that.

I don't think either of us has put on cologne for the past 20 years or so though. If anything, we smell like Irish Spring soap.

You have reminded me now.. when I was a young girl I used to go with my best friend to a shopping mall, into the perfumery, and going from one tester to another we would go out showered with fragrances.. it was a cheap way for us teenage girls to smell nice when going out
But you may be right that the best scent you can have is the scent of being clean, bathed with a simple soap. It doesn't cost much, but the scent is priceless.

Nice story Ex...

I have numerous favorites... For years I used Musk, because I worked in hot sweaty environments...

Now I am more into body scented lotion... Trying to change up anything in our lives is a challenge... Just easier to stay in our comfort zone, if you know what I mean..

Speaking of body scented lotions there is one I love to use in Summer when I avoid perfumes.. it's a Green Tea with honey drops... refreshing and caring, I think you would love it
And I know exactly what you mean about comfort zones, Pac...
Thank you for your comment, always appreciated

Mine they haven’t bottled yet, hopefully they never will, I don’t think they can….it’s the fragrance of summer rain on mountains covered in sage and pine. Wait all year for it.

It would be a sin to bottle that scent... it's for those who know where and when to go to feel it

Odors both good and bad do not seem well understood, at least not by me. It seems animalistic the way we react sometimes. I should wear cologne more often... I will wear it more often.

Glad you are treating yourself. Secret to happiness is little pleasures...

Maybe there is something primal in our reaction, still is nice to sense a nice scent. Even more on a man, as ladies do use them somehow by default.. mostly.
And I share your opinion, it is about little things, and it doesnt have to be anyone else doing them, but us.
Little treats from me to me 😊

She looks so different. I know, off topic. Coco Chanel is good. Smells great. No. 5 always smelled good. For men, my favorite was Polo Crest and that is long gone.

ExNameForUse replies on 12/13/2021 10:27 am:
Ahhh nothing is off-topic if it made you think of saying it... she is lovely I think so too.. and it's a shame some old good fragrances are not there anymore... I would be sorry if that would happen to some of those I love.
