 The pictures are beautiful and the areas you mentioned touched me. I am Slovenian. My paternal grandparents immigrated here from there. My grandfather had already died by the time I was born but I grew up listening to my grandmother's stories. She was born in a small village outside of Dobrova in 1894. She spoke of Ljubljana and Trieste, and more towns I don't remember anymore. She died in 1981 and I still miss her. I have never been there but want to visit where she was from before I die.

 All the pictures were wonderful but the one with the snow-capped mountains was just gorgeous. I'm so glad you had an opportunity to see the sights and do a little connection with your son.

For some reason your comment dear Girl di not come through to me yesterday, so my apologies for the late response.
I have about 250 images taken in 3 days so it was a tough task to make the selection, but you are right, that one is literally like drown, and not real.. as many are, and the nature and sights were at times surreal...
As for my son, I hope he will have nice memories of me one day when I am gone.. it can be difficult sometimes, but I haven't got anyone but him, and he is definitely my weakest point.

I had intended to do some traveling in 2020/21.
For obvious reasons those plans didn't go ahead.
Hopefully I can reset those plans for 2023 with a bit of luck.

 Thanks for sharing. I had heard Slovenia was nice... where to next? Maybe Poland or Slovakia. Stand at their Eastern border and flip Vlad the bird...
