change is progress & inevident
growth is a change in ones own perspective attitude thinking learning wants needs
we are all on the same journey but we all travel different paths to get there!

Conformity
is the jailer
of freedom.
Change is
inevitable,
growth is
optional . .

Ex

Well Done for not letting the abusers win and realising your true worth!!!

Yes! I completely agree! Learning to say no is disregarded by those who took advantage of you in your life, but for you yourself it is necessary.

Keep on growing and become more beautiful!

I know I can tend to be a fixer and, at times, it just causes me quite a bit of stress.

ExNameForUse replies on 11/10/2022 11:52 pm:
I can relate, dreamy... just the idea of change causes me stress but so is remaining in my comfort zone too, which causes me only discomfort, but... I am used to it so it feels known and safe... I need to come to the point of complete breakdown to realize there is no space for shame, guilt, or anything like that if I change my ways of dealing with certain people, situations, etc... setting healthy boundaries, as someone wrote here...

I meant to add also that until you truly accept know love yourself...nobody else can or will ever be able to know & love you!
the hardest thing to do is to look yourself in the mirror & get real w yourself...a good exercise everyone should practice & do periodically 3-4 times a yr...when you can look at yourself honestly & like who you see then you’re on the right path if not make changes in yourself until you do like who you see!

ExNameForUse replies on 11/10/2022 11:45 pm:
I believe there is always space for improvement, BD, that we can be better versions of ourselves... if we want, and before that, if we are brave and honest enough to admit that some things could be better, being aware of them, and willing to work on ourselves.
But there are also situations that shape us without our consent, so to say... that usually comes from deep hurt, deep pain, times when we are completely broken and rebuilding is the only way, with some more solid foundations.
Either way, we are in charge, no one else can save us, or love us, but we, ourselves.
