When it comes down to it, much of life is about showing up and being prepared. You should prepare for a meeting a new date the same way you should prepare for a job interview or for a new client meeting.

This really feels like we need to reach that level within ourselves first, before we can be that in a relationship for and with another. Set that self relationship on a solid foundation first, then seek another to help build that shelter on top of it. That’s what I get from it. Nice post.

lovely writing, nice picture, so true about us all, being brainwashed, into believing your partner is the one, responsible for your happiness. You alone are that. Going into a relation just so the other is responsible for your happiness, is a bad goal. Communication is key.

Love is... work on both parts open honest communication w o holding stuff in or back compromise sacrifice respect patience understanding compassion total acceptance of each other’s good bad fugly sides sharing time space activities together giving each other time & space as needed being there for the other in all situations having each other’s back listening to each other then acting upon their needs wants desires hopes dreams goals so they can grow soar be happy never ends the little things never jealous insecure negative desperate suffocating one never needing to say sorry (that’s BS!) never lies Denys cheats in D/s its communication trust possessiveness complete ownership responsibility accountability protection devotion dedication love worship obedience servitude duty honor aftercare!
