I try to be a good person & tell the truth . I've recently been slapped pretty hard by it though.

Many will use "honesty" to hide behind and as a disguise for being rude or harsh excusing their blatant approach with "just being honest". While I do preach that truth should be put on the table at all times, there are ways to serve it.

there is their story your story & in the middle the truth!
the truth is different for everyone as everybody has their own perspective!
the light always shines on the truth & truth shall always set & keep you free!

this had me thinking... I think everyone has their own reason, but the truth is pretty static. I agree, the lie part is bad, and eventually does more damage.

I think about it nearly every day... is it better to keep your truths to yourself or is it better to say them out loud and see what happens... so far I have lost so many people I believed in after saying my truth... so not really sure what is the right thing to do... apart from the fact that there is a price for whatever we decide to do.

Just tell me the truth.....we can work it out. That was always my mantra and has (mostly) done me well.

At times it is hard to parse out the truth. However, we need to move ahead no matter the claim.

It makes sense that "Go with your gut" is such a popular refrain.

I agree that relying upon your gut feeling is a way to go whether it is about parsing out the truth or whether to tell the truth to somebody... that gut thing works pretty well though
