Live by Clint Eastwoods motto... Don't let the old man in...
| ||||

Jenny's post inspired me to find this quote I saved a while ago... There is nothing as beautiful as seeing women not being ashamed of their age and being mature... not forgetting their needs, and not neglecting their bodies, minds, souls... so much grace with confidence there... so much to learn about life itself with just looking at them... deserving admiration and respect if you ask me...

like your post and like the subsequent quote.

I guess it reverifies your thoughts about embracing oneself. Seems right to me.

If you say so. Howling at the moon and mal ad osteo.

EXACTLY right, Ex! Always feel SO badly for those that 'chase youthful looks' through surgeries and injections, often times disfiguring what had been GRACEFUL, aging, beauty. Check out a recent or current photo of Emmy Lou Harris with her GORGEOUS, stark white, shoulder length locks! Now in her early seventies and just a PRETTY today as she's ever been! Personally, I respect that SO much, and am GLAD she didn't succumb to the 'pressure'! Clint Eastwood's line is certainly appropriate for anyone, not just for men, and aging gracefully with dignity does NOT detract from what Peter Ustinov stated in the closing line as Hercule Poirot in "Death on the Nile" ; "I was thinking of Molière..."The great ambition of women is to inspire love."

Nothing wrong with being proud of a life well lived

Ex I am delighted to have so positively inspired you! You well know my views on women doing what comes naturally! Sontag of-course was a trail- blazer and one of the brightest people ever! Your picture matches the sentiment perfectly! A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw Jenny

This is a spectacular piece of writing. I love what the author is trying to convey. Growing old gracefully is the way I'm going out. By the way, the photo of the woman is stunning I hope this response finds you well. Best, Mxx "Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.”

when you've been with someone for a long time, you see part of their youth in their eyes... and they still look beautiful

I am woman hear me roar.... If I'm thinking correctly, this passage appears to have come from the 'Women's Liberation' era. A lot of good thoughts came from it. Make Women Female Again

I am wondering how you are. You have been quiet for several week snow. I wonder if you have been ill or had an injury. I wonder is some dumb ass has scared you off of posting? But I do care about you and hope all is OK. Maybe the change in position at your job has been a bit overwhelming (but I don't think such would overwhelm you) "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"
