The dreamer She watched from the sideline, always the dreamer. She took pleasure in the happiness others found. Their stories and pictures fed her dreams. She lived vicariously through them, and experienced their joys. Oh how she wished she could experience them for herself, for they were bright and filled with love and joy. Some would bring her back down with realisms and facts, which she would acknowledge sadly and tuck her head once again. Inside she knew they were right, but she was a dreamer. In the wee hours of the morning, when no one was awake and the first light began to paint the horizon, she would creep out and let her dreams free to fly with the birds. She would sit and watch until nothing of them could be seen, and then return quietly to her bed. Rarely did they ever return to her, but she was ok with that, for they were free. Once she was asked why she bothered, “you spend so much time and effort cultivating them, when they rarely return to you. What’s the point?” “I’m a dreamer” Was her only response. The only one she could give. |

Nothing wrong with dreams. Everyone has them. Most are not realized and probably were not int he first place. But, one should allow themselves to pursue those dreams that have even the slightest bit of possibility to them. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"
