The Shadow in the Background The shadow quietly crept after the weary sub, smiling sadly at her most recent struggle. He had been with her from the start and cheered as she reached the highest of highs and wept with her when she lay broken at his feet. He admired her, as no matter what life had thrown her way, she always managed to survive. He had watched her piece herself together with whatever pieces she was able to find, and saw the scarred soul she tried to hide from others. Although, he had never been the one to walk beside her, he know the important role he played within her life. He remained at her back with open arms, ready to to comfort her or lend an ear and offer advice. Thank you SirS for all you do. You really are one in a million, and I will always be thankful that you entered into my life. love always Lisa Mac |
