I have been told lately that I am beautiful. And while it's a wonderful compliment I rarely see myself this way...

I don't think of myself as unattractive. It's just that I have not been the woman
that a man gets weak over... That will jump on a couch like Tom Cruise on Oprah, saying how much he loved Katie Holmes weak! Or the man who would wear a vial of my blood around his neck like Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie did with each other..

So... I have wondered why something similar hasn't happened in my life? I only remember a few truly gorgeous men in my life... And how it was a struggle being with someone so good looking.. A crazy example was when I found a pic in my stuff. This exceptionally good looking guy, with blond hair, who was least a foot taller than me, who had his arm possessively around me. We were standing in front of the million dollars at Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas. As I looked at us together, me dressed up with my hair and makeup done, and him sooo hot, how about this. I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THIS MAN IS?? Really?? WTF is wrong with me?? To this day I don't know who he is! What a shame...

In our image first society men will make a instant decision about any woman, more so than woman I think? Does our lifestyle dynamic improve on this superficial kind of behavior at all? Sometimes, but not always I suppose...

We still want attraction to our significant others... Does it change and evolve with time?? It absolutely does I believe...

My personal trainer and I have these conversations about the "hot" men. And the woman from the dating sights who list their requirements. They want a man 6ft tall, athletic build, full head of hair, successful in his job, have the fancy car and home, with at least 7 inches below the belt! Well I say ... Good Luck! Because this guy can get whoever he fucking wants, and the chance of him settling with you, is slim to none... These boy toys, men, or however you refer to them look good no doubt... But until they are ready to settle down, if ever, they will always be nothing but players...

And here is my food for thought... How many relationships have 2 really hot people in them?? And how long do they really last?? My example of this is Tiger Woods.. Who I don't think of as attractive. But he has been involved with and married to beautiful women, the majority of them blondes.. And after all of his drama who is he with now? A brunette woman who was a hostess at one of his restaurants. And while she is attractive, I would not consider her beautiful. She is nothing like the other women he was used to seeing based on articles I read. She appears to be more about substance and less about high maintience..

Therefore, beauty is still in the eye of the beholder as far as I can tell...

Hi I love your attitude. Yes the beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but there is more to beauty than appearance. style, attitude, openness all come together to make a beautiful person..
oh! by the way you aint half bad your self.
Hugs Hightension.

Over the years I've learned that there is more to beauty than physical attractiveness. At least that is how I see it. I'm sure it is different for different people but it takes getting to know someone very well to appreciate their beauty or find that maybe they are not so nice underneath.

People look for different things from relationships I suppose. Some just want sex, or casual connection, some want conversation and a long term relationship. or friendship. Then there are the partners you want to be with for the rest of your life.

And I agree that beauty is in the eye of the beholder with eyes open wide enough to see the true beauty.

Beauty is such a relative term. I've known some beautiful women but the minute they speak I'm out of there.

The media constantly floods us with images of the perfect man and woman. These are images without a story or soul. None of us are perfect. Yet in the eyes of the beholder, the other is. Your dom only sees you. It is wise for many reasons to be active and live a healthy lifestyle. Such actions takes work and energy. Such should be appreciated and recognize. Unfortunately, more women then men take their self image to heart. It is a two way street. An example. one can not insist that the other loss 30 pounds and then themselves be 100 pounds over weight and not willing to do something about it.

Attraction is in the eye of the beholder but true beauty is much more than skin deep. You can be smoking hot and if I do not like your personality I will not be attracted to you. You can have A lot of fun in the shallow end of the pool but I will always choose to go off the high dive. I love the fact that beauty is impossible to define because it always changes based on perspective. I find the people that make snap decisions based on looks alone, tend to be the single player type. To each their own as it should be.

I will blow your mind like a verbal John Wilkes Booth

pac

I would call you "beautiful"

To me , beauty is NOT some bimbo with 46 JJ boobs!

It is some-one with a warm smile and a brain!

Attractive appearance (like you have ) is an added but non-essential, bonus!

Interesting, my experience is when I meet a woman, regardless of how stunning she is initially, as I get to know her one of two things happen. Either she starts to become more and more attractive or she becomes less attractive. When you've known someone your whole life you see them as you always saw them. As the old saying goes, photos don't lie. But the mirror does as your mind corrects what you see. But in a photo it for some reason it cannot. I would propose that those who see a beautiful or handsome person when they look in the mirror, portray that to others. Confidence and self assurance is most always attractive as long as it's not pretentious or arrogant. PS. You look wonderful but I'm seeing someone of whom I have a unique insight. And that adds significantly to your beauty.

I do love the thoughts about the mirror.. Because a mirror can expose any weakness you have, or think you have, and reinforce your strengths if you care to look.. Thank you so much for the compliment and thoughts!
