So... How is your patience these days??

Mine is not a virtue, not even close!

Obviously I can show patience when I need to... My patience has been good waiting for my second shot, which I get today...

But when it comes to waiting in general... Well... It is a quality I really need to work on! Especially the "good attitude" part.... But isn't knowing your weakness half the battle to improving it?? That's my story and I am sticking to it...

Get my second shot this afternon as well. There is no alternative to being patient in this situation, but the desire to tie and torment a sub is strong..... Who knows what will happen when it is released. In the meantime do I go for a haircut or continue towards a ponytail.....

I have been patient with the 2nd shot also.. Probably from not wanting to get symptoms.. Good luck to you and the poor sub who ends up being tormented by you,lol... And decisions, decisions?? Thanks for the comments..

Patience isn't my strong suit at all.

It depends on the situation. If I know when something is going to happen, I can patiently wait for its arrival. On the other hand, something like standing in a slow moving line can make my blood boil.

I hear ya. Going through the drive through window at a bank and the car in front of you takes FOREVER.

And it doesn't matter which line you get in. Yours will automatically grind to a halt and the other line(s) will move at a normal pace.

You get your second shot Saturday - Right?

So do you.

Ahh no... I get my second shot in a hour and a half... But I do relate to what your talking about as far as the bank line goes.. I always find the slowest line no matter what.. Thanks for your thoughts Plz..

Good luck with your second shot, mine is on the near horizon. Trying to be patient and will hang on a little longer as we hopefully will be out of the woods soon.

Peace

I have more patience than a monk. And, being incredibly stubborn makes it worse. lol

One on one in person, I can even teach how to be more patient, but only if they are receptive.

when someone says something about 'patience' to me, I always remember the cartoon of 2 buzzards in a tree...one says to the other "Patience my ass, I'm gonna kill something"

Is patience relative to stubbornness

pac369 replies on 4/8/2021 11:32 am:
Well... It could be for sure.. I know I am guilty of both sometimes..

I believe I'm one of the more patient people & you'r quite right about attitude.
Plzrmeister makes a good point about the difference between knowing when what
you are waiting for is going to happen, & just waiting for something to happen.
I hate it when you need something delivered & they say between 8am & 6pm.
Admittedly it's usually a tighter time than that nowadays. Being ready for a delivery
at 8 & then it doesn't turn up until 5:45 is just so frustrating.

On the other hand I got my first shot on the 24th Feb, I don't get my second shot
until the 12th May. I'm fine with that, yes it would have been great to get it 3/4 weeks
later, but I know when it's happening & I understand the logic.

It gives me most of the protection I need, while allowing the country to give that basic protection to as many people as possible, as fast as possible. It's brought the infection
rate down rapidly when many London hospitals, at the begining of January, were close
to collapse. Many people were agast at our decision to increase the gap between shots,
people said it hadn't been tested. Yes it had & it has been used before with other vaccines.
The WHO have since said it's as good, if not better way of doing it, due to longer protection.
Anyway I'll stop now as you'r probably getting impatient for me to finish this post.

pac369 replies on 4/8/2021 11:37 am:
Thanks for all your thoughts Dave! It is 4 weeks for me today since the first shot. But like you it would not have bothered me if it took longer. From what I understand I am protected 75% right now.

Glad to hear your country is getting a handle on the virus and hospitalizations for sure..
