I really try sometimes to give Dom's or anyone for that matter a chance to chat on Alt IM... Here's some examples of last nights adventure... A couple first.. The Dom saying he is the one talking with a BBC, and 40 something years old... I politely say I am not interested. He sends a picture of his cock! Really? Close chat... A young guy with a cock pic... What do you blog about? Everything I say... His response "OK".. Close chat... The next one is a Dom who is driving around the South West to escape a brutal winter way back east... Cool. We chat for a few minutes, even as awkward as it is.. Then he asks if I want to take a short drive? As in meeting him... Are you really fucking serious? I don't even know your name.. But yet you have the gall to think I would drive to meet you? I said "No, afraid not"... Close chat.. Here's a gem.... "Sadist here... Chat? " I say "No" .... Close chat.... It's no wonder I choose to ignore more and more messages... The constant "taboo sex"?, " let's cam so I can talk to you", "will you be my mommy"? or " ahhh your a milf".... I am NOT a HOOKUP! So... the sad thing is these yahoo's are ruining IM for those of us who do want a actual conversation... Which is almost nonexistent now... Because within 2-5 minutes it's "what are your kinks"?, or "why are you here"? or "I will be in town next week"... Therefore.... Don't be surprised when the get the skeptical reply from me, or me asking why you want to chat with me?? ~ Physical strength is measured by what we carry. it's poor to chat on IM hate when they just leave bit like what did I say or do only asked how are you xx........btw do hate the one that ask's what you looking for lol xxx

I've had my share of those types. I typically don't use IM unless someone writes a "nice" email and asks if we can chat.

I take pride in reading through blogs instead of wading through chats. I like interesting topics and this one caught my eye. Thank you for bringing it up with such intimate detail. FORE!!!! I good warning for today's picture as well as the IM's. Just be glad that it takes points to chat on it now, the use has dwindled dramatically.

I haven't thought about what it would be like to be "out and about" with a site like Alt available. (I discovered Alt in 2008, and created a profile to view the photos of various attractive women, not to meet them, as I was already "taken".) When I was single (from 2003-2004, briefly, between marriages) there was only Cupid and Match (as far as I knew.) The usual routine was to write to an interesting party via the website email system, and if there was a mutual feeling of wanting to take it beyond the first few emails, we would exchange personal emails and maybe phone numbers, and photos. Next was the meeting, (always slightly terrifying for me.) Only one woman had suggestive photos on her site (not naked, just tushy shots in her panties) and though I did meet her, it was bad timing and nothing came of it. I have no idea what I would have done if I was faced with the smorgasbord of sexy/graphic photos that women represent themselves with. (Though I can see why a man who IMs a woman with a very suggestive photo might assume he could talk dirty to her immediately, though I don't think I would have reacted that way.) I guess if someone on ALT wants to meet a partner who is totally into kinky stuff 24/7 (because they are) this is the place to go. For everyone else, especially women, it could be a minefield.

pac May I please be a "devil's advocate"? I agree - IM here is not for a thinking person but some, especially, of the male variety. just want a "quickie"!
