Was quite a adventure...

It was over 90 degrees and the wind was blowing about 16-20 mph... Not ideal conditions for sure!

For the first time ever in my golfing life, a group of 3 men politely refused to play with me. They were black, but I invited them to join me regardless... Due to the course being so crowded... Golf has no color as far as I am concerned! To say I was shocked is definitely a understatement... But I played in front of those guys all by myself... I would say being out of "my comfort zone" was at my limit...

I had never seen so much grass on a golf course. There were hardly any cart paths and I just tried to follow the guys in front of me so I had a clue where the fuck I was going... No par 5's either.. WTF kind of course is this?? Very few bunkers to... It was a different course to be sure....

But as I turned my cart in a guy actually talked to me asking me why "golf was such a hard game"?... I laughed and said "I wish I knew"? We both laughed as we walked to our cars...

I then proceeded to get drunk at the local watering hole since it was my birthday! I have certainly had much worse birthdays... All in all a good day!!

I know very little about golf save for what I gleaned from an Aunt thar was in the LGPA; she tried to teach Me a few things but she was 5'2" and I was 6'5"... and I wasn't going to buy My own clubs lol

I am 5'2" also... And have short clubs. It would have been difficult for you for sure! Thanks for sharing that twisted..

I'm sorry you had to play alone. The fun of a sport like golf is to laugh. You need a buddie or partner screwing something up. Then the rest of the group can laugh at him/ her..and it goes 360...fun for everyone.
Hope you get a parter next time and happy birthday!!

Ahhh thanks casio... But there is still a stigma about being a single woman it appears? It is better to play with people and have fun... But if I waited for that to happen I would never play.. So I am just fine playing golf by myself!

I'm sure you had fun, and hope you enjoyed your birthday too.

I have no problems playing with women, used to play in a mixed league years ago when I worked in North Carolina.

It is a challenge when you don't really know what the course layout is. So many courses have gone with the 90 degree rule for carts, it's even more challenging. And our natural areas in the midwest just happens to be grass, not sand where you're from.

Safe travels

It really was a challenge with the course layout TM... Much easier where I come from. Cart paths every where and sand and desert to break up one hole from the other.. Thanks for your nice comments..

Happy Birthday, I hope that it was splendid. Please visit Door County next time as we have Go Carts.

Vroom! Vroom! Happy, Happy Birthday!

Sounds like a perfect day!
I've tried playing golf twice, and was SO bad at it, never tried again!
Happy belated birthday
Ginger

It is a challenging game for sure ginger... And as I learned I wondered why I was spending money to play and look like shit?

Thanks for the birthday wishes...

Happy Birthday.

The only time I tried to play golf ended in disaster.

I managed to break my arm by falling off the ball washer.

pac369 replies on 6/9/2021 3:12 am:
Well damn pappy.. That is a disaster! And I can certainly understand why you never played again...

Sorry to hear you didn't get anyone to partner you for a round of golf.

About the best part of 40 years ago, some guys I was working with decide
to try golf. I guess they hired clubs etc.
The next day I asked how they got on. They said they lost eight balls &
a golf club!!!

Belated Happy Birthday to you.
