Here comes the shit storm!

pac got sick yesterday... She is fully vaccinated for several months now...

And she is pissed! Have no idea if covid is my problem yet?

WTF is so hard about getting this shot so we can live our lives again??

Get the shot for your loved ones if nothing else...

Don't get on your soapbox and hurl political comments on me... If your comment is not respectful I will delete it..

This is not political ... This is selfish individuals who put the whole country at risk...

And pac is so tired of hearing stories about unvaccinated people at the emergency room begging for the shot, when clearly it is too late...

The science is out there... These vaccines are excellent.. Honestly though, I can't believe how many ignorant, stupid people, are in this country!!

Em, this is a political blog. Personal preferences and all that. You have your reasons for getting jabbed, others have their reasons for not. It's not your place to judge.

Show respect to receive it back...

Surprised you are not already jabbed. Mostly it seems to be delivered by age, and with the percentage vaccinated in the USA most of the, ahem, mature population should be done by now. I hope it turns out not to be Covid. Keep posting.

I am double jabbed with no complications but I have a friend who is also double jabbed who did get covid.... just ill for a couple of days. From what I hear, if you get covid after the jabs, it will almost certainly be a much lesser attack, and he feels that if he had not had the jabs he would have been hospitalized or worse.

My guess is that you got a similar mild covid to my mate... Could have been much worse Pac!

pac369 replies on 7/29/2021 6:17 am:
Ahhh I appreciate your story WT.. If I am not better tomorrow I will go to Urgent Care..

And I don’t doubt it could have been worse… I protected my self for over a year. And if I do have it my frustration level will be higher than it is now…

Thanks for your comments….

I caught Covid back in December and had it bad. I mean BAD. So bad that at my yearly physical last month my Dr told me I should have gone to the ER. I'm a pretty healthy person and have only been hospitalized for a few injuries during my life, never illness. And Covid knocked me onto my back for a whole month.

I don't ever want to feel that sick again. I got vaccinated back in May. I chose to do it for myself and those around me. I also still mask everyday due to the nature of my work.

This is now anti Vaxxer virus. All our lives since birth we all have received various vaccinations (such as mumps, pox etc) so we can have comfortable lives. But for some reason people have taken offence to being vaccinated as adults. And this vaccination serves to protect your loved ones not just the individual. Wtf.

Whether someone is vaccinated or not is a personal choice. Granted, it might effect others.

From what I've learned, being vaccinated might keep you from having such harsh effects. It doesn't make you immune to anything, you can still contract covid, you can still spread covid, and to be safer, like I do, wear a mask when in public places.

Look at what has happened to John Rahm, he's had covid, he's been fully vaccinated, had to withdraw from a tournament he was leading, played in a couple, then couldn't go to the Olympics because of testing positive.

What ever the cause of covid, and we will probably never know, it's effects are with us for a very long time, 18 months in, and the experts don't really have a grip on anything about it.

pac369 replies on 7/29/2021 7:09 am:
I see your points TM and I am not going to argue with you.

If everyone did their part I doubt we would be in such dire straights though..

And the situation with Rahm really sucks. He’s such a good guy and certainly doesn’t deserve this…

Oops! Sorry. My error. Must read slower. My step-daughter caught Delta variant after being double-jabbed but was not too bad and has recovered well and quickly. Keeping fingers crossed for you.....

Sorry to hear you are sick pac, hopefully it's not Covid, but if it is,
having had your two shots should mean that it remains relatively
mild.

Here in the UK most of the people in hospital with Covid haven't had
the vaccine. We are getting some people who have had both shots get
ill, but they either don't need hospitalisation, or if they do, their illness is
milder & their stay shorter.

Personally I see it as my duty, to both myself & my country to protect both
myself & those I come into contact with. Some people have said it doesn't
stop you catching it & passing it on. British research says that it does, not
100%, but it does reduce the spread. But then no vaccine is 100% effective.

14 days ago our infections were climbing sharply, yesterday they recorded
the seventh equally sharp fall in infections. While there are other facters
other than the vaccines, it is believed that a big part of that is the vaccines.

Anyway, all the best pac, I hope you feel better soon.
Big hugs from the UK.

Just an FYI: Unless you have been tested for COVID and have it come back positive, don't assume it is. There is a really nasty respiratory infection out there called RSV which is also spreading like wildfire as everybody is forsaking good hygiene practices. It spreads from person to person either by surface/hand to mouth or having someone cough/sneeze on you. Usually OTC cold medication will help with symptoms. Should be gone in 7-10 days.

pac369 replies on 7/30/2021 5:43 am:
Thanks max for that info… I think I got that virus from my aunt who went to the bar Sunday night. The bartender at the bar also got it. She did go to the Dr and got tested. It was negative… I feel much better after OTC meds and sleeping almost all day yesterday..

Thanks again Mac..

pac

First, I hope you are better VERY quickly!

We know, people can still get Covid , even when fully vaccinated , BUT , they get a milder illness and do not end up in hospital or ICU or worse....

A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw

pac369 replies on 7/30/2021 5:46 am:
Thanks Jenny… The honor system is not a effective way to combat a pandemic in my eyes. When the CDC said all vaccinated people didn’t have to wear masks.. I am sure you can imagine how many unvaccinated stopped wearing them to…

Thanks for the well wishes… I feel much better today…

I am amazed that people look at covid but do not consider the past history of pandemics. I was vaccinated for smallpox as a youth. The virus only exists in isolated labs now. Have you ever heard of large pox? Also known as a black plague. It also has been rendered less potent but still is wide spread. Chicken pox was quite lethal until vaccination came along. Influenza? devastating when it first arrived. We now get vaccinations for that. There are two variants, A and B. Each recurs every year. Once flairs on the second year the other take 3 years. Finding the correct vaccination is always a challenge and some years they just don't match up. What I am trying to say is that the bacteria and virus forms keep coming and we keep adapting. Choose to be vaccinated or not just remember that those who ignore the disease are bound to suffer the consequences. Be aware of pandemic history and consequences and act in your own interests.

The blackest lie is a partial truth that leads you to the wrong conclusion.

That comment is just outstanding pr! The rationale and science behind your facts is most appreciated... Vaccines are not political, and never should be...

All the test animals did die in the test labs, the owner of the company, i dont remember wich one, said, i dont want to take any responsibility about dead counts of this vaccin....
the "test" was never mean to be used on people, but only used in labs.

WHen you are fully vaccined, ,you still can die of covic.
In Holland people in a elderly folks home, all vacinated, all died...
You can still make other people get sick with covid, while you are vaccinated...

There is sooo much not clear about this vaccin and this virus....

But, you are entitlled to believe what you want to.

I have had covid, have been sick for 3 months, and still have very weak days....
This was in december, last year....

Every body has the right to make their own decision.
It is a free choice to get the needle of not.
thank you,

pac369 replies on 8/22/2021 4:14 pm:
I appreciate your thoughts rose. I dealt with this blog almost a month ago. And expressed my thoughts over and over about my beliefs on the vaccines. I have never heard anything about animals dying here. Of course you are able to make a choice about not getting a vaccine. But when you get covid and pass it on to others how is that your right to get others sick??

A relative of mine in Wisconsin, where I came from as I was getting sick had a negative covid test, then a positive one. So it is entirely possible I did have covid. All I know is I never want to be that sick again… Almost a month later and I am still fatigued and have other symptoms…
