Monsoon.... As of yesterday Tucson's 2021 monsoon season was # since records have been kept... Almost 9 inches of rain so far in a region that has been in serious drought conditions for the last 3 years... pac loves monsoon season, especially a active one ... But... these really bad storms are happening frequently at night, or at bedtime... The sheets of water dropping from the sky has been truly amazing... Not too mention the thunder that shakes everything.... Of course the lightning puts on it's own show... The pics are just a small example of what's really going on... For the second straight night my sleep has severely effected... As in all things though, it's a small price too ... All this water is filling lakes back up, helping farmers and the cattle growers, and making the region quite green and beautiful...     ~ Physical strength is measured by what we carry. Beautiful strikes. Thanks for sharing your shots. If you have trouble sleeping find a warm body to curl up next to. I have the calm app on my phone. The one I play most is the rain with occasional thunder and lightening. So relaxing. The blackest lie is a partial truth that leads you to the wrong conclusion.

When I lived in Tucson, I thought the lightning shows were incredible. Good to hear you're fighting off the drought this year. Mixed bag over here in NM.

18 inches the last 90 days here!!! Tornado's and high wind storms as well,,,,,, But the storms do some good!

Lightening strikes are just beyond amazing. Can't help but to always think of Lee Trevino...."If you are caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron." Quite a few times golfing in Fl, the thunder clouds start forming, and when the horn blows..., get the fuck out..!!!
