The New Orleans Saints became the first NFL team to require proof of vaccination, or a negative Covid test 72 hours before attending a game. This includes wearing masks for any games. And it starts August 16, 2021....

The mayor of New Orleans issued a directive saying " that all guests at major indoor and outdoor events MUST wear a mask and show proof of the vaccinations or negative covid test"....

I am surprised the Saints and other pro LA teams were the first to do this...

Is the door open for other pro teams to follow suit?? Or is this a isolated incident??

Or perhaps it's the "new sign of the times"...

San Francisco has a policy requiring vaccination in order to attend an indoor venue. Los Angeles is considering such a measure as well. While San Francisco can utilize the California vaccine database, I do not believe they can reach out to Hawaii's version. ..bummer

Ok kalbi... But I have no idea what Hawaii's version is? I would think it's more restrictive?

Thanks for sharing what you know..

I can understand people feeling they need to be cautious, sadly, delta doesn't care if you're vaccinated or not.

Makes you wonder what good it does, you can still contract it, you can still spread it, you just might not have as bad of symptoms.

True TM... But do remember this, the vax are not in intensive care, and they are not dying...

Well...Saints fans used to wear bags over their heads at the games so masks should be no problem

pac

This is something I totally agree with! Vaccinated people should be rewarded...

Eventually I think it will become that way. I read something the other day about people being financially sanctioned when they would not get a smallpox vaccine in 1905. I would hate to think we are going that way? But you never know..

Thanks Jenny…

Not sure how this would do any good...the vaccinated still can catch and distribute the virus.
Your literally packed in tight seats with 80,000 crowds..

Mask? No mask? What does it matter when bubba is literally buttcheek to buttcheek with you in the seat.

Your gonna get it..

And yes mask do help somewhat..im not anti mask. But your standard mask wont stop the spread of the virus at short ranges..

And we've all been to games..your literally on top of the other person

I'm suprised governments allow people to gather in such clusters like this.

Lets be honest...this is an air bourne pathogen...if you dont have adequate ventilation or something to prevent you from breathing in the virus.

Then yeah its gonna spread..

And football is great...but its not worth the risk

I totally see your points likes… And while I do love football you would not catch me at any live game, or any large group gathering for that matter… I will sit at home and watch it on tv, thank you very much…

Thanks for sharing your thoughts without attacking me.. It’s much appreciated…
