What a beat down.... The GB Packers suffered yesterday... The worse game of Aaron's career... Not too mention the insult of being benched by the coach with over 10 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter... pac is convinced part of this is the total lack of pre-season play for all the starters. Because GB looked like a high school team playing... It was embarrassing as a fan base to watch. Hopefully... it's just what we need! Well... The Steelers took it to Buffalo yesterday which was a big shock... So many wrote off Pittsburgh in this game... Defense still makes a difference, and Pittsburgh brought it! Josh Allen struggled the whole game... But at least he brought his team back where there was a chance to pull off a unlikely win... And what about the Cardinals?? Who waltzed into Tennessee and flat out beat them on both sides of the ball... A offensive and defensive juggernaut... Quite impressive too say the least... This game was expected to be a shoot out... But not just by one team... Cleveland is certainly for real this year giving Kansas City all it could handle yesterday. If it wasn't for Mahomes spectacular comeback Cleveland would have won...Cleveland has so much talent between the running game, defense, and improved QB play.. Watch out for another dangerous team this year... And last but not least. Chicago had a real chance in that game last night... But... as Cincy fans know Dalton is still not the answer... So many mistakes from such a experienced QB. Stafford on the other hand looked good. Still showing that he can throw those 50 yard bombs... The Rams should be quite improved this year... FYI... pac is still exploring the online betting site and had success yesterday winning $78... So many different types of bets to explore... Makes watching a game all kinds of interesting! ~ Physical strength is measured by what we carry. Inner strength is measured by what we can bear. ~ |

I'm sure Aaron will come back next week with a chip on his shoulder. It's gonna be really interesting to think how his performance will be the somewhat renewed Detroit. I'm thinking the poor Lions will end up paying for the broken plates. And I'm not at all surprised at the the Chiefs comeback. A good chunk of last season was won by similar comebacks relying obviously on Mahomes' wizardry, and supported by Tyreek outlandish speed and Kelce's mid field dominion. It's funny because they look bored and uninterested through 3 quarters and then they just decide to play on the 4th... just because they know they can. But having said that, it was refreshing to finally see the Browns playing comfortably playing at the level we all know they can. I was also fascinated with the new Rams with Mathew Stafford. His efforts will finally be supported by a reliable coach and defense. Good thing he still have some throwing on him. Rams still have to fine tune a few things, but without the pre-season, it is all understandable. And while Chicago did not look their best, I think it is just a matter of a couple of more weeks before management moves on to Justine Fileds permanently. It will be interesting to see how they will evolve. With so many significant changes to so many teams, this seems to be a pretty interesting season.

I agree that minimal actual preseason game experience hurt both the Packers and the Bills. There's "no joy in mudville" today.

As Rodgers told the press, it's only one game. This has happened to him from time to time. Last year in October TB beat GB in a 38-10 loss where Rodgers looked confused. He still ended up MVP and the team ended 13-3. He'll refocus and bounce back. I just had a small parlay card and needed to hit all four picks. Unfortunately, the Cards-Titans didn't go over the number. I need to refocus as well.

Tony Dungy on SNF made the same observation regarding teams that played their starers during the preseason versus those that did not. We'll see what happens next year but it is a long season at 18 weeks with 17 games. As for betting, that's the reason for the NFL coming around on that. They realize they are missing on a very lucrative revenue stream. The West division in the NFC will likely be the ones to beat. The worst thing is that we play each other twice a year. Niners got lucky they had built up a lead only to watch dissapate in less than 5 minutes. Plus another CB loss. They may have to sign Richard Sherman back to the team. I know OCs are figuring how to take advantage of it.
