For Jon Gruden ex Raiders head football coach... Over 8 plus years of emails were discovered during the investigation of culture being conducted against The Washington Football Team... Apparently, Gruden insulted everyone.. Including gay players, woman referees, the NFL player representative, other coaches, and the NFL Commissioner himself. On the NFL website and official letter head no less... Words can come back to haunt you in many ways. As Gruden has experienced. There's no telling how many more emails could be involved. The NFL has said it will not release more of them, due to a court settlement with The Washington Football Team. Even though the NFL effectively told Gruden if you don't resign, more emails will be divulged... While this behavior is probably not isolated to Gruden. He is front and center the fall guy... And "Chucky" better hope he has money stashed for a rainy day. Because it's unlikely we will be seeing him publicly for quite a while... ~ Physical strength is measured by what we carry. I think there is a lot of email that exists that would embarrass many in positions of leadership. Gruden is like the guy who reacts to someone else rough play and gets the flag. Should he be the only one punished? Probably not. I guess we will see if more comes to light now that the NFLPA is pressuring for more releases.

It's hard to believe that Gruden is the end of all this. I think he's more like the canary in the coal mine.

And this is why being in public life is not worth the effort. None of us has not said or done things in our past which could come back to haunt us. There nis NO privacy at all in this country and getting less and less all the time. Words said in haste or the heat of the moment are now public record. "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone."

What NFL coach is not mouthy and in your face? I don't think any coach would stand the scrutiny . Parcells, Buddy Ryan are just two guys who said what was in their head at the moment. But I guess it is fine these days for people losing their career and income and future for a few miss chosen words. I am sure Gruden is not going to suffer financially but he is finished in the NFL.
