The monkeys are probably in cubicles in some third-or fourth-world country, barely speaking English, monitoring our posts, and hating us for being Americans, so they mess with us in little ways like that as often as possible. Corporate doesn't give a fuck because they get away with paying them doodle squat.

I wonder if it is just problems with poor code and how it works with modern browsers that cause pics to disappear and reappear? Is it ALT being overly zealous with editing or is it because maintenance and updates are lacking?
Regardless it is extremely annoying.

Pictures are disappearing from several blogs this morning. It's not just yours.

Pac I did not think ALT put them back. I just wonder if they are taken down by action or possibly inaction. Neither is good just wondering if it us motive to control content or if it is negligence in providing a working system.

I absolutely know that not all Alt members are American. Maggie and I have met about 20 Alt members over the years. Many of them were Australian. About ten years ago we spent about a month down under and hung out with several Altoids there. Another time we met a bunch of friends from Alt in NYC and ended up having a great reunion there, where there were several friends from the U.K present. So I know firsthand that Americans do not have a monopoly on membership here. However, I strongly suspect that the Alt Corporate masters outsource their customer service employees, (as do many other U.S. Corporations) and what I said about their hating Americans IS half true, in that most people who man customer service phones kinda develop a bit of resentment toward the people who call in complaints, mainly because the callers are sometimes abusive. So it goes both ways, and those of us who are not particularly abusive (and in many cases never call in complaints) suffer for it, in the form of a badly managed blog site with words and whole phrases and sentences that go missing after we post a blog. (or maybe it's gremlins?)
